Explain Style 2322

This style is one that embodies the key elements of what brides are looking for today. Style 2322 includes a flattering, romantic portrait neckline, demure yet sexy side cut-outs and a plunge neckline. The memorable cameo-style back feature, a bit of fit and flare to show-off a brides’ feminine silhouette and the breath-taking train allows a bride to feel simultaneously traditional and on-trend on her wedding day.

What was the inspiration behind this dress?

Femininity was truly the inspiration for this gown. The dress showcases the belief that being feminine is part tradition, part happiness, part sexiness, part confidence, and part vulnerability. The inspiration behind this design was to showcase all of the elements that make the feminine silhouette so romantic and timeless.

Why do you think your dress won Wedding Dress of the Year?

Style 2322 creates that delicate balance between a traditional wedding look and elements that showcase their youthfulness and physical beauty. I often work with brides that find it challenging to balance these two elements within one gown, and style D2322 was inspired to give them the best of both worlds.

How do you think winning this award will affect your business over the following 12 months?

It is always a benefit to be recognized by brides and our peers, giving us greater exposure to the key element in our industry – the retailer. Store owners and staff are the link that brings designers to brides, and we cherish the opportunity for them to see us associated with such an established industry honour.

Do you have any tips for suppliers entering this category next year?

We always think about our brides first, especially when selecting the final style for this entry. It is paramount for us to consider what current UK brides are asking for as far as trends, silhouettes, and finishing details – and then we cross our fingers!

What are your plans for the future?

It’s all about future seasons of brides and trying to be one – or two – steps ahead of what they’ll be asking for when they walk through the doors of our retail partners. And, as always, we plan on listening to and supporting our retailers in every way possible so that we can all continue to grow and better service our brides.
